Colorectal Cancer Community Conference – May 18 & 19, 2021
This virtual conference will bring together the nation’s colorectal cancer community to ENGAGE, EDUCATE & EMPOWER patients who are undergoing or have completed treatment, caregivers, family members, and health professionals engaged in the colorectal cancer community.

Urinary Recovery after Prostatectomy
Sam Hughes, a physiotherapist specializing in the pelvic floor, is teaching a class suitable for men and their partners before and after prostate surgery. It covers urgency, erectile issues after surgery and more. Registration required; more information at samhughesphysiotherapy.com.
Group Meetings
Bladder Cancer Support Group
This group is on hold until further notice and will have online video meetings using ZOOM. Please contact the group coordinator, Joe (see below) for information.
Get together with others who have or have had bladder cancer. Share your experience and learn from others. Not only for people who have a urostomy, this group welcomes anyone with a bladder cancer diagnosis.
Third Tuesday of every month (except August) at the Bonsor 55+ Seniors Centre – 6533 Nelson Avenue, Burnaby – located close to Metrotown Skytrain Station. Meetings are on the 2nd floor, from 7:30pm to 9pm.

Fraser Valley Ostomy Group Meeting
This group meets at the Ricky’s in Cloverdale (19219 56 Avenue, Surrey).
This group is on hold for now, but will resume once gatherings are safe. To be advised of when the meetings will begin, get in touch with Gurjit, the group coordinator, at fraservalleyostomates@hotmail.com or by texting (604) 803-8497.
Vancouver United Ostomy Association (UOA)
The Vancouver group meets by Zoom for the time being – contact the group to receive the invitation with meeting address, time and date.
Once in-person meetings resume, they will be held at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House, 5288 Joyce Street, Vancouver. This venue has easy access by transit – get off at Joyce-Collingwood and the meeting is less than a block south. This organization meets four times per year.
Please note that these meetings will now be Saturdays. Meetings will continue to be at 1:30.
Vancouver United Ostomy Association (UOA) 20-50 Group

Chilliwack Ostomy Group
Meetings are temporarily on-hold.
This group meets the 3rd Monday of every month except January, July and August.
Join them at 44146 Luckakuck Way (Heritage Park), Chilliwack – meetings are at 1:30 in the Atchelitz Thresherman’s Association Canora Building.
